Mindfulness is the energy of being aware and awake to the present moment. It is the continuous practice of touching life deeply in every moment of daily life, whether we are sitting, walking, standing, doing dishes, driving a car, talking with a loved one, or working at our job.
To be mindful is to be truly alive, present and at one with those around us and with what we are doing. With mindfulness, we have an opportunity to see the true miracle of life in the here and now. It brings us freedom and, as Thich Nhat Hanh says, freedom is the only condition for happiness.
